We are celebrating! We are overjoyed to announce that our Borderless360 student, Zarqa, has secured a well-deserved place in a university. Congratulations, Zarqa!
Passing her GED exams and gaining admission into university was more than just an academic triumph for Zarqa; it was the realization of a long-cherished dream. She says that “passing my exams was like a dream for me. It was not only because of my hard work but also because of Borderless360 and my teachers. They constantly encouraged me at every stage of my journey.
Zarqa's journey has been far from easy. She has encountered numerous obstacles, but her resolute spirit and determination have kept her going.
This journey was definitely not easy for me. I came across many obstacles, but, to be honest, I never felt like giving up. I know that Borderless360, my teachers, and my family have put considerable effort into helping and supporting me, so giving up was not an option. But the hard work has paid off, and I finally got into university!- Zarqa
Zarqa's journey has been far from easy. She has encountered numerous obstacles, but her resolute spirit and determination have kept her going.
“Getting into university was not easy. The Borderless360 team helped me to prepare for my interview and entry test for university. I still cannot believe I have gotten into a university, but after gaining admission, my hopes have grown, and I really want to pursue my education at a higher level. It will definitely help me become independent, and maybe I can reunite with my family at some point."
It has been ten years since Zarqa last saw her family in Pakistan, but she is hopeful that she will see them again one day. We hope so too, and we know they are proud of her!
In a world filled with uncertainties and hardships, we are honoured to work with individuals like Zarqa, who possess an unwavering determination to overcome their circumstances and achieve their dreams. We are also humbled and amazed at how eager the students in our Borderless360 inclusive education programme, support each other and want to pay it forward to the community around them.
We are grateful for our friends and contacts who have rallied around as a reminder that these students are seen and heard. Let us celebrate their achievements and continue building our Borderless360 community of care - where we learn, grow, and bear witness to our humanity.
