Borderless360 (B360) seeks a Foundational English Language Teacher for its youth and adult programmes under its Inclusive Education Initiative (IEI).

The Inclusive Education Initiative
The B360 Inclusive Education Initiative has been piloting an online education programme to support refugee students in attaining an internationally-recognised certificate as a pathway to further education or employment. We are currently looking for an experienced English language teacher who is able to teach a diverse group of refugee students online (in terms of educational levels, language proficiency and cultural backgrounds) who are in need of foundational English language instruction to bring them up to the equivalent of the Cambridge Assessment B1 level proficiency.
Scope of Work
Position title: B360 Foundational English Language Teacher
Work location:Thailand or remote - Note: B360 is not able to facilitate work permits or visas
Level of Effort: 10 hours a week – 2 hours each day, 5 days a week
Length of role: Four-month service agreement with possibility of extension and/ or renewal.
Start date: As soon as possible
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Foundational English language teacher works on B360’s IEI’s young adult education programme. The teacher will provide English language instruction to the group of refugee students and must adhere to the B360 Code of Conduct.
Specific duties and responsibilities to fulfil your scope of work include:
● Have experience and familiarity working with the Cambridge Assessment and/ or GED Reasoning for Language curriculum and prepare to deliver online lessons to students from diverse cultural backgrounds
● Deliver 10 hours of English lessons per week
● Provide English language instruction appropriate and sensitive to the group’s needs
● Monitor and evaluate students in the use of learning materials and equipment
● Observe and evaluate students' performance and development
● Provide appropriate feedback and answer questions as necessary
● Carry out tasks in accordance with B360 Code of Conduct and all other rules and regulations applicable to team members.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
● Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Education or equivalent experience
● Experience teaching the GED, IELTS, or Cambridge Assessment English curriculum or relevant instructional experience
● Comfortable teaching and interacting with students in an online setting, such as through Google Classroom or Zoom
● Prior experience with underserved population a plus
● Understanding of or curiosity about the refugee space and issues a plus
● Passionate about B360’s mission and what we do; interest in education a plus
